About Theresa
I’ve been a full-time working artist for over 25 years, firstly on the British Channel Island of Jersey and then Kansas City, Missouri since 2011. I work in my studio everyday and there is nothing else I would rather do.
I create one-off figurative, sculptural pieces as well as a range of functional pottery in porcelain.
All of my functional tableware is thrown on a wheel, trimmed and altered. Using a lithograph process I print images which are taken from a collection of antique photographs with additional lines, drawing and painting.
In my sculptural work I aim to infuse each piece with energy and emotion. Slowly over many days, they become the curios creatures of my imaginary masquerade whilst provoking the viewer to imagine their own story.
I hope you will LOVE my work so that my lavish and excessive lifestyle will continue to be funded by the naive notion of making a living from my ART.
